    Day 212: Pamukkale

Nov 1 - Starting late night, Odette starts throwing up. It is clearly food poisoning. By morning there isn’t anything left in her except stomach lining, so we keep her hydrated and by mid-morning she can hold down some bread. Fortunately, we did more than I intended yesterday so take it easy and let her recover. Later in the day, Janet doesn’t fee well, so our one trip through town in to a restaurant in late afternoon.

Downtown Pamukkale, with a cat population that is greater than the human one. The streets are quiet this time of year, as high tourist season ended months ago.

This excavation for a building foundation shows that the white travertine of the hot springs, at some point long ago, covered this area as well.
