Nov 23 - Get a taxi and off to the otogar for our long bus trip to Van.

The route goes east to the city of Batman. Fun name but not a lot of interest to see here, so I did not plan a stop.

Get within sight of Lake Van by sundown, passing through the busy city of Tatvan. The imposing mountain range to the south is covered in snow. Into the city of Van after dark, we are prepared with our winter clothes when we step off the bus. Take a taxi to the Toprak Hotel in the middle of town.
