Jan 25 - It clears up during the night and is sunny again today. We’ve had fairly good luck with weather, in the month running up to this segment I had noted many rain days on the islands. It does stay drier through January and February, with monsoon season kicking in by April-May.
I go out for snorkeling again. Odette stays on the beach today, constructing sandcastles. I try to get her in the water as much as possible, but she does get really cold, not having much fat on her. The water is listed in the islands as being 28⁰ C, but there is a large temperature difference between the shallow inner reef and the outer slope (where the better fish are).
We have really lost track of time here, not being rushed to do anything in particular.
