The barber is a fire figher in real life, but he says the job does not pay enough. I am the second person from the USA he has met (and also cut his hair). We scout out a laundromat and get that taken care of. Clothing gets messy quickly here, a product of high humidity and thus constant perspiration. Eat some basic chow next door to the washing machines. It is interesting how certain things are easy or difficult depending on the country. Malaysia it is incredibly easy to find laundromats, along with machines to purchase washing powder, and easy-to-follow instructions for operation.
